Jarrett is a designer, doodler, shaper, and maker who has an insatiable curiosity for how to make things that work for people. He grew up on his family’s farm in Southern Virginia where from the time he was knee high to a grasshopper, he learned the importance of a strong work ethic and determination.

Jarrett’s interest in computer user interface design was sparked when he worked as an end user support specialist for a network of desktop computers. There he observed and helped people of all ages struggling with doing the simplest tasks with computers, such as saving a file to portable media, printing a paper for school, or writing a resume.

It wasn’t long before he found himself at Microsoft applying these insights on a variety of Microsoft’s product designs as a User Interface Designer. Thus, launching him into a 20+ year career of product interface and user experience design.

In his down time, he loves photography, drawing, riding motorcycles, and exploring the outdoors with his wife, 2 kids, and their dogs, Rosie and Taz.
